Types of bet:
Before you begin a game of Three Card Poker, it is important to be aware of the different types of bet you can place throughout the game. There are three types of bet in Three Card Poker:
Ante
The Ante is a bet that can be placed at the start of a game. It may be of any value you wish providing it is within the maximum limits of the game. The ante bet will also qualify for an ante bet bonus should the player's hand not fold.
Tip: Be aware that the raised bet, if played later in the game, will be the same as your original ante bet - so ensure that your funds are sufficient to cover this.
Ante Bonus
This free bet is made by the house on the players behalf when you place an Ante bet for the same stake as the ante. It pays out based on the hand the player gets. You will only receive your stake back on the Ante - not the free Ante bonus bet.
Play (Raised)
An optional bet, with a value the same as your ante bet. This bet is placed once your hand has been dealt and you have seen your cards. Play this bet if you do not wish to fold and feel you have a chance of winning the game.
Pairs Plus
An optional bet, this bet is made prior to your hand being dealt.
The tablecloth on the screen shows the odds available you could potentially win. It represents the odds to be paid depending on the eventual value of your hand:

- At this stage you should decide whether you wish to play the pairs plus bet. To play the pairs plus bet, click on the red button above the ante betting area. A chip will appear over the button

- Based on the strength of your hand, you must now decide whether to play on and bet, or to fold. If your hand is weak and you do not wish to play on, click the Fold button. You would automatically lose the game, your ante bet stake and your Pairs Plus bet.
- If you choose to play on, or 'raise' the bet, click the PLAY button:
- A stake the same amount as your ante bet will be deducted from your balance and will automatically appear on the "play" section on the table.
- The dealer's cards will now be revealed and compared to your hand.
- If the dealer's hand does not contain a queen or higher poker hand, the dealer is unable to play their hand. You, the player, then receive even money (1 to 1) on the ante bet, and the raised bet stake is returned to you (a 'push').
- If the dealer has a queen or better, the dealer will play their hand. If you beat the dealer's hand, you will be paid evens on your ante bet and your raised bet.

- If the dealer's hand matches your hand, the ante and raise bets will both be returned (a 'push').
